Sunken Forest
This unique resource is one of the last remaining maritime forests on the eastern seaboard. The forest is approximately forty acres and consists primarily of American holly, sassafras, and shadblow. Hike the shady trails and take a break overlooking the Great South Bay or walk to the top of the hill and overlook the forest and Atlantic Ocean. Either take a quick Water Taxi ride or enjoy a stroll on the beach to access the Sunken Forest.
Fire Island Lighthouse
